Fabienne Ouimet

Fabienne kept the books for small businesses across the Outaouais for nine years, which mostly meant explaining to people where their money had actually gone. She started writing about consumer payments in 2021 after a client lost four hundred dollars to a currency conversion nobody had disclosed.

She covers online casino cashiers now with the habit she brought from bookkeeping: she reconciles. Every deposit and payout gets checked against the bank statement, because the statement and the casino's own history page do not always agree.

How the testing works

The method is bookkeeping rather than review writing. Three numbers get recorded on every test: what left the bank, what the casino said arrived, and what came back. When the first and second disagree, the difference is almost always an undisclosed currency conversion.

Bonus terms are read in full before claiming rather than after, and the wagering requirement is checked for whether it applies to the deposit as well as the bonus, because that one line changes the real cost of an offer by a factor of two.

Nothing is scored. Where a site is cheap but slow, or fast but expensive, both facts are reported.
